Calculated Chaos 2021

Dead Girls Dancing is loosely based on the classical ballet Giselle from the perspective of the betrayed souls, the Wilis. The work is dedicated to all the women and children who have lost their lives at the hands of strangers and at the hands of the ones they thought would protect them. Guest male dancer is Keenun Wales as the Man.

Cleanse 2018

This contemporary choreography work was fuelled by South Africa’s water crisis and how people’s daily lives were affected with the limitation of water.

Repeat Repeat Rewind 2017

This dance season was excerpts from the company’s past favourite works which premiered at the Baxter Dance Festival over the past 10 years and was refreshed and directed by Abeedah Medell and Ebrahim Medell.

The colouRED CHAMELEON Project 2014

This collaborative dance project with Eoan Dance Company was initiated by South African dancer and choreographer, Desiré Davids with the goal of giving a voice to the forgotten community, the Coloureds.

Her dance piece entitled Coloured/ Chameleon/ Dance, premiered in France and Reunion Island in 2012. The second work´ś choreography was specially created by Ebrahim Medell (EGTC choreographer and artistic director) with contribution and participation by Desiré Davids.

Swan Lake 2012

The contemporary version of the all-time classical ballet was choreographed by Abeedah Medell and Ebrahim Medell with the Eoan Group trainees in supporting performances for the first time with the company. The original classical music of Swan Lake was used for the entire contemporary work. The company members were Mishkaah Medell, Lucille Hendricks, Enricho Solomons, Ciara Barron and Luke de Kock.

New Dawn 2011

The Eoan Group launched their first professional dance company in November 2011 with their New Dawn season performances at the Joseph Stone Auditorium. This work pays tribute to Helen Southern-Holt, founder of the first African grassroots performing arts organisation and celebrates the success of the Eoan Opera, the music legends and the Golden Era of the Eoan Group at that time. The original members were Mishkaah Medell, Lucille Hendricks, Grant Edem, Ché Milani and Llewellyn Mnguni.
